in Credit Card Debt Lawsuit

Question by E: Got served with capital one credit card debt lawsuit but i changed my name?
I was not home but my brother got served with my lawsuit for a 2,500 capital one bank credit card debt. But i changed my name so the papers served have my old name.
I have not updated my social security card with the new name, should i do that then file for bankruptcy?
I have my drivers license with my new name but my s.s. card has my old name can i still file for bankruptcy like that?

Why would you file bankruptcy over a 00 debt? Most likely, the bankruptcy court wouldn’t allow it, and to top it off, the bankruptcy attorney is going to charge you over 00 just to take your case.

Cheaper to just pay Capital One.
